Another Five Minutes is Finished! :)

The end… Is there any better feeling for an author than typing those words?

Would you like to know what my next release will be about? I’m so in love with this one! 🙂 The heroine inspires me. Brooke Hartley deals with a debilitating anxiety disorder every day. She’s also deaf, but her inner strength brightens her story! I hope you love her as much as I do.

Here’s a quick blurb:

Needing him is easy.

Fearing him is necessary.

Loving him could be her biggest mistake.

Born deaf and living with an anxiety disorder, Brooke Hartley manages life in five-minute intervals. It’s all she can do to get out of bed each morning. She’s hidden inside her sister’s apartment for over a year.

Everything changes when Brooke’s sister goes missing. Her fragile world crashes. She is desperate to find her.

Haunted by a past he needs to forget, Scott Derrico keeps to himself until his gallery manager, Autumn Hartley, suddenly disappears. He comes out of isolation to take Brooke under his wing and search for Autumn.

Scott tries to deny his attraction to Brooke. He doesn’t want to get emotionally involved but he craves her like nothing else. And, for her, he is a dark and sexy diversion to overcome her fear.

With a genuinely flawed and relatable heroine and a mysterious and protective hero, you won’t want this love story to end. You’ll beg…for another five minutes…

Another Five Minutes

I like to write an introductory poem for my books. I did it for my first published novel. A few readers said it was cool… Their praise made me feel pretty awesome. So, now I do it for every book, you know, because feeling awesome is cool. Here’s the new one for my current work-in-progress. What do you think?

I feel time slipping away.

Will you please, please stay?

Give me five more minutes, please.

I am begging on my knees.

I fear losing you so much.

Promise me at least one last touch.

You belong to me, of course, you know.

And yet, there you go.

The emptiness instantly imprisons me.

Please, my love, return and set me free.

The silence and anxiety echo inside these walls.

With you gone, I am nothing, nothing at all.

My ache churns, my passion fueling hate into flames.

It is torture and death to endure such pain.

Come home so I may breathe again, my love!

Let me show you what we are made of.

One more chance for you is all I give.

Return to me if you want to live.

No other may have you, it's true.

When I die, my darling, so will you.

Five more minutes I delay for your sake.

An eternity it shall be before we wake.

You and I are one soul bound together.

Our love is forever.
