A story 17 years in the making is here!

INTlovelybyelizabethsafleurThe idea for Elizabeth SaFleur’s Lovely struck her in 1996, and the book is now available! Find out more in my interview with the author at Coffee Time Romance and More. http://www.coffeetimeromance.com/Interviews/2015/ElizabethSafleur.html#.VV8070Yk7KA

Authors, have you had a story idea that just would not let you go?

I have. Way back in high school (no need to say how way back), I had a crazy dream one night. It felt like something straight out of an action/adventure/science fiction kind of movie. I was running through a large maze of dirt tunnels from something that was probably going to eat me. I watch entirely too many horror movies! Well, I can’t say I immediately woke up with the idea for a book that particular morning. But I had that same dream over and over again. More details came to light. It turned into a story plot all on its own.

That idea turned into Against the Game, my next romantic suspense coming soon! I sure hope readers will love it! Here’s a quick blurb. 🙂

AGAINST THE GAME

Eric Teague is moments away from making history. Thanks to him, the world of gaming is about to experience technology like it has never seen before. When his new establishment, Against the Game, opens, playing video games will be a thing of the past.

At Against the Game, players experience the game as if it is real in a virtual reality. There is no TV, no console with wires and controllers. The game feels absolutely real. Kids get so much more than puppeteering cartoonish characters through a game of basketball. No matter the person’s health or physical ability, they will be the characters in a world without limits and they will experience what it is really like to compete as a pro ball player.

During test trials, kids called Against the Game “amazing,” “fantastic,” and “miraculous.” One kid declared it was the best experience of his life. Indeed, everyone knew it was going to be something big enough to alter the whole gaming industry. For Eric, it meant a long-awaited dream come true.

But, all too soon, reality breaks into Eric’s moment when something goes terribly wrong. He and his best friend Lacey get trapped in the virtual reality of the supercomputer behind his establishment. It is definitely no longer just a game. The danger is real. The consequences are real. And, Eric and Lacey’s fight for survival is more than real.

To live, they must win, and to win, they must overcome the biggest challenge of all: to trust and to love.

When two Type A personalities collide…a romance with sparks.

INTjenniferwilckContemporary Romance Author Jennifer Wilck enjoys writing about diversity. In her release, Miriam’s Surrender, the characters are Jewish. They are also both Type A personalities. Neither character wants to bend. Friends, do you enjoy having different religions in the books you read? I do. I love learning new things and experiencing the world through character’s eyes. It is one of my favorite things about reading!

E-books are everywhere. Authors, do you miss holding your book in your hands?

8580014What was the proudest moment of Cynthia Witherspoon’s writing career? The answer is seeing her book in print, of course! The same could hold true for many authors. It is indeed a wonderful feeling! Read her full interview at Coffee Time Romance here: http://www.coffeetimeromance.com/Interviews/2015/CynthiaWitherspoon.html#.VQGa8-Ek7KA

Because of the popularity of e-books, a lot of books don’t make it to print. And, from a business perspective, that’s the way it should be. That’s the way the industry is going. Authors have a great opportunity to make a great income that way. But, sadly, that also means they won’t get to hold that print book in their hands and experience that feeling of magic that happens in that moment.

Authors, do you miss holding your book in your hands? Or, are you happy enough seeing your book  on the screen?

The lines between genres are blurring, and this author loves crossing those lines.

INTevagordon2015Author Eva Gordon writes steampunk, historical novels, full of romance and paranormal creatures. She loves mixing all the genres in her writing. Want to find out more about this author? Read her interview with me at Coffee Time Romance and More! I think you’ll enjoy it! http://www.coffeetimeromance.com/Interviews/2015/EvaGordon.html#.VOybCS4k7KA

Or, read her book, Hand of Miriam. Do you like the multiple elements to this story? What is your opinion of cross genres?

As her daddy’s favorite punching bag, Chris Chambers grew up with no illusions of the evil inside a mind, which most certainly includes her own. At the age of seventeen she took control of her life, and nearly ten years later that control is what keeps her going.

The destruction at job sites was something he could pass off as accidents, but when he receives a death threat, Aiden Wolfe knows it is serious. Hiring the best private investigators he can find, Aiden’s guilt over putting others in danger once again rears its ugly head.

After a stint in the army, Chris uses every skill she learned to become a first class P.I., and her job is the only thing that saves her sanity, but this case is threatening even that. Her client only needs to look at her, and her precious control is shot to hell. Aiden wants no more pain or death on his conscience, but the person targeting him is intent on doing just that, and Aiden is only part of the equation. Chris and Aiden try desperately to keep her team together, but this is one killer with an inside tract, and the harder they fight, the tighter the net closes around them.

Read this novel and see if you can honestly answer the question of what it would take to make you a killer, because no matter how righteous you think you are, everyone has a breaking point. For the protagonist in this story, I believe it is a lifetime of feeling defeated, and having known so little love in his life that losing any amount of that is horribly devastating. As for Chris and Aiden, I feel they could very easily have succumbed to the same fate, but instead turned their fears and anger inward, blaming themselves and putting up walls to keep others out. Put yourself in their place as tides of emotional and psychological warfare wash over them and really experience how their feelings for each other may be their only chance for survival.
