A Poem for June’s Creative Corner

Nameless Aggression

There is fury behind these eyes of mine
You would not notice, your eyes are blind
It has now begun to wake my sleep
The emotions forthcoming I cannot reap.

Deep memories return, that should forever be behind
To increase the thoughts that rape my mind
I encounter the loneliness that follows the pain
Therein lies the repressed, to drive me insane

My mouth dare not speak what tears
Have shed
Concerning the past and what’s left
To dread
I must stay anchored and not point the blame
Many deal with anger, but how many with shame?

Who would interpret what I have to confide
It feels much safer here inside
It’s too late to extinguish what kindled the flame
Forever, my suffering will have no name.
